Serious Result. Fun Style.

The Strongroom is a boutique fitness studio offering private/semi-private personal and group training. Unlike typical gyms, The Strongroom uses a minimal set of equipment and focuses on total body functional movements with high intensity interval training (HIIT) and circuit training – no machines! We have a unique space, located in a converted 1920’s bank. (You’ll perform your heavy lifts in the original bank vault!) Every workout you have at The Strongroom is creative, challenging, and personalized. Clients receive exclusive, private/semi-private sessions, allowing them to feel comfortable and get the most out of each workout. We also offer customized nutrition counseling from our in-house dietitian.

The Strongroom will help you to move better, look better and feel stronger. And when you’re stronger, life is easier. Our style of training accelerates fat loss and leads to a strong, lean body.

We welcome ALL fitness levels. Unlike traditional membership gyms, we offer only 1-on-1 training, small group training, and pay-as-you-go. No fads, gimmicks, or miracle claims. Just science-based programming, sensible strategies and the body you want! If you are serious about getting results and willing to work hard while having fun, The Strongroom is the studio for you!

PASSION IS RELENTLESS DETERMINATION TO ACHIEVE WHATEVER IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU...

ARTIE CIAVARDELLI JR.

Artie Ciavardelli Jr. is the Owner and Head Personal Trainer of The Strongroom. Artie has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. He started out with in-home training and outdoor bootcamps in Horsham, Pa before becoming a personal trainer at a corporate gym in Center City Philadelphia. Just before accepting a director position within the company, Artie decided to make his long-time dream a reality by opening his own unique studio! In many ways, Artie helped shape what defines the training style known as functional fitness.

Artie received his Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). He also holds a KettleBell Certification through MKC.  His personal fitness regimen focuses on performance-based athletic training. Artie also enjoys practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  He won 3rd place competing in a tournament in South Philly. Having studied Psychology, Artie uses a comprehensive mind-body approach to his training.

Some call Artie the “mad scientist” of personal training. He is always developing new and creative exercises that combine gymnastics, functional training, and conditioning for a total-body/core effect. Clients ask him “How do you come up with these moves?”, “Do you dream about them?” He loves to keep his clients guessing, which also helps to maximize the metabolic effect of their workouts.

In addition to staying on top of the latest fitness research and trends, Artie is also well-versed in his knowledge of diet and nutrition.  He attended a conference in Washington D.C. held by the American Society of Nutrition, and always stays informed about the effects of diet on health and fitness.

Artie’s passion for health and fitness is rooted in his desire to see his clients achieve results. Whether it be weight loss, strength gains, or just an easier time getting around, Artie loves to see his clients reach their goals and live a better life.  He lives and breathes fitness every day! You may have already seen him practicing his moves around Philadelphia – walking up the art museum steps on his hands or hanging sideways from a sign post!

Currently, Artie is training to compete on American Ninja Warrior – an extreme obstacle course in it’s 7th season airing on NBC.
